8th International Workshop on Electromagnetic Compatibility and Engineering in Medicine and Biology
The aim of this workshop is to bring together scientists, engineers, manufacturers and users from all over the world to discuss common theoretical and practical problems, describe scientific and commercial applications and explore avenues for future research in – and connections between – these two dynamical domains: Electromagnetic Compatibility & Engineering in Medicine and Biology.
The main topics are focused on the characterization of electromagnetic environments, associated with field influence on technical or biological systems. What makes the EMC&EMB workshop special is its approach towards considering interconnections between the electromagnetic fields and medical bioengineering.
Thus, topics include, but are not limited to:
– EMC in electrical and electronic engineering
– Electrostatic discharge (ESD)
– EMC measurement, instrumentation and testing
– Electromagnetic modeling and simulation
– Survey of electromagnetic environments
– Electromagnetic shields and absorbers
– Electromagnetic interference characterization/control in medical devices and hospitals
– Biological and health effects of electromagnetic fields
– Electro and magneto therapy
– Electromagnetic/bioelectromagnetic signatures acquisition and processing
– Embedded/wearable systems in biomedical engineering
– Wireless communication in biomedicine/measurements
– Methods and modeling in medicine and biology

About workshop:
Assisting robotics enable patients to perform repeated movements, which can stimulate the brain to regain control of upper and lower limbs through a process known as neuroplasticity. Recent research highlights that combining electromechanical-assisted gait training with Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) yields greater benefits than robotic treatment alone. Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) represent a promising new technology for restoring, substituting, or enhancing lost motor functions in patients with neurological injuries. This workshop focuses on hybrid systems that integrate BCIs, FES, and exoskeletons to promote motor recovery in individuals with central nervous system lesions.

About workshop:
First International Workshop on Energy Efficiency: Transition to Climate Neutrality is a significant event focused on addressing solutions for energy efficiency and the transition to climate neutrality. This transition is essential for achieving carbon reduction goals and tackling climate change through the adoption of sustainable practices and technologies: promoting energy efficiency, transition to climate neutrality, innovation and green technologies and policies and regulations for energy efficiency. This event raises awareness of the importance of energy efficiency and the transition to climate neutrality. It also offers the opportunity to build partnerships between academia, industry, and government to accelerate the adoption of solutions that will support the global transition to sustainability.
Co-Organizer:
Environmental Resource Center (CEREM) and Society of Energy Auditors and Managers from Romania (SAMER).
